Brenton gave me a cute little black bag for Christmas that had this message written on it in white capital letters: “Life isn’t about finding yourself. It is about creating yourself (unknown).” He knows this is a quote that I live by and actively work to create myself. This is a process that I have worked hard to perfect. Every day, I work on finding what makes me happy and what my strengths are in my personal life and my business. Each day, I write out my goals for each part of my life.
Some of the things that I do is try new things, journal what I am feeling and what I think, and create lists and dream boards of what I desire for the future. This keeps my mind focused on what it will take for me to create myself. It also allows me to try things that will help me create myself.
Sometimes, when I get to a certain place, I realize that I have to change. At this point, I add some things to my list and vision board. Change is okay. Many times we have to change to create ourselves. The end product may not be what you thought it would be, but you may be amazed that it is just as wonderful. It will be an improved you.
I choose to create myself. What do you choose?
