The last few blogs we have talked about Be, Do and Have. The Be and Do were discussed on Friday and Monday. Today, I want to talk about “Have”. When we know who we are (we have increased our self-image) and we are taking actions toward a goal, then we will “Have” what we want.
I know some of you are thinking, but, Tina, we may not get exactly what we want. That is true. When you become the person you were created to be, work on completing inspired actions, then, even though you may not get exactly what you want, you will receive something great.
Usually, when we take the necessary steps, we get more than we thought possible. Our minds sometimes limit the possibilities. You may face fear because you think that things won’t turn out the way you want them. This is a place where I live for many years. Finally, I had to move.
Here is my story:
My daughter created two characters when she was around seven or eight. The characters were two mice brothers. She always talked about them like they were her best friends. One day I thought, “I need to write a story about these two mice brothers.”
Although I started writing the story, I gave up due to feelings of fear. What if the story didn’t turn out as I had hoped? This consumed me and I started making excuses as to why I shouldn’t complete and publish the book.
Now that I am working on the same success steps that I write about, I had to take myself through several limiting beliefs sessions. I focused on the limiting belief that I wasn’t good enough and that my book would be a disappointment.
I am so excited to say that I am now in the editing stage of the children’s book and will be done before the end of February. Of course, there is a little voice inside my head that says, “What if it fails but I know that I will never find greatness if I do not take the inspired actions.”
You need to make sure you are not limiting yourself due to fear. Believe me, I know what fear can do. Limited belief is something that you need to work on until it is eliminated. Don’t get discouraged if it is not eliminated overnight. Repetition is key to changing any habit, and limiting beliefs are habits that you need to change.
Challenge: Now, you are going to look at anything that is holding you back from success so you can freely accomplish each of your goals. Remember, you are not alone, and you have people here at My Map to Success that understand because we go through the same success steps taught each week.
