Although I do plan for the new year, I am one who plans all year long. A long time ago, I realized that waiting until New Years Eve to plan for the year was not doing me any good. This is why I started working on my year all-year-long. Today, I plan to buy the materials I need for the class that starts on Monday, plan for the next two semesters in my doctoral class, and work on scheduling for the class I am creating, but this is something I would do if it was not New Years.
Make a New Years Resolution, but make sure you are planning and continuing that resolution throughout the year and the following years. Make goals for the next year, five years, 10 years, and 20 years. Although it does not always go exactly how you expect, it gives you a guide that will help you stay on course and feel accomplished after those time periods are up.
Feel free to respond to this post by writing one or all of your goals. Let me know the obstacles you feel are in your way and how you are planning to overcome those obstacles. If you don’t want to write on the public post, please feel free to email me at tinawhite@mymaptosuccess.com and let me know what your obstacles are and what you need to get past those obstacles.
