Taking Care of You

It is important for everyone to understand the importance of taking care of themselves. If we are not well, then we cannot take care of all the awesome people and important business in our lives. When you take care of yourself, you are less susceptible to negativity, illnesses, and anything else that could impact you and your goals you are working toward.

When you are on a plane, the first thing the stewardess says is, ” In case of an emergency, make sure you put the oxygen mask on yourself and then help those in your care.” This is because you cannot help anyone or do them any good if you do not take care of yourselves. This means you need to watch your work schedules, your diet and exercise, and any emotional pressure that you may feel at any time during your life (not just during the shelter in place).

To take care of yourself, you need to have time each day for yourselves where you can relax and enjoy life. You need to keep a schedule but not so strict that you struggle to feel good most of the time or keep up. After work hours are over, you need to enjoy time with your family, or, if you live alone, then you need to do a video call with someone. It is important not just to hear their voice but to see them as well. This way you do not start feeling isolated.
